Prayer is the basic and essential element of the Christian faith. Christianity is more than a religion, it is a relationship. Essential to any relationship is connection and communication. Prayer is the avenue whereby we connect to, and communicate with, God. My new message series will help us to explore ways we can grow and develop our prayer lives. We all are beginners when it comes to prayer. We often find ourselves in the place of starting over and beginning again in prayer. We are on this prayer journey together. We are on a quest to find the hearts true home. Join me each Sunday to explore how we can move from being people who pray to people of prayer, as we seek the Lord’s instruction and help in becoming praying people.

Some of the most powerful and moving services of the year are coming to CCC this week. Our Good Friday Communion Service will be held on April 6 at 7:00 PM. We will walk with Jesus the journey to the cross as we, with him, experience; betrayal, abandonment, denial and suffering. This service will help you to enter into the passion of Christ in such a way that you are amazed by the redemptive love that is symbolized in the cross.

On Easter Sunday April 8, we will joyfully celebrate the triumph of life over death as we enter into our Resurrection Celebrations at 9:00 and 10:30 AM. These identical services will both include the full choir and praise band to lead us in joyful music. My Easter message is called “Hearing is Seeing” and will help you to listen to the voice of Jesus who calls us each by name.

Please plan to be a part of these wonderful experiences and invite your friends to join you. God will touch your life in a way that is real and personal.

An Ash Wednesday Service at CCC will begin the season of Lent as we prepare to remember and focus on the death and resurrection of Jesus. Traditionally, Lent it a time when Christians engage in some form of fasting by “giving something up for Lent.” It is a time to focus our minds and hearts on God’s great salvation given to us through Jesus Christ.

On Wednesday evening, February 22 we will gather for a time of reflection and intention at our Ash Wednesday service which will be held this year in the Fellowship Hall at 7:00 PM. This service of sight, sound and touch will engage your senses to lead you deeper into your journey with Jesus. The tradition of the ashes will also be offered to all who wish to receive this ancient sign of repentance. Pastor Doug will lead this one hour service.

Community Men’s Fellowship

“Being God’s Man… Through Tough Times”:

Who’s got your back? When you stand with other men who share your goals you achieve them faster. To win the battles you face, as a man, it requires others.

David’s journey from shepherd to king was filled with dangers, delays and difficulties. And just like him, we live in a world filled with circumstances beyond our control. But hardships and losses are God’s tools for shaping us into His men.

Every man has a dream of who he wants to become, but getting there is a different story. Many men fail to realize their dreams because they choose comfort over character, image over substance, and escape over endurance. But a man who knows how to embrace hardship and learn to mine it for God’s purposes will see his godly dreams come true.

Being God’s Man… Through Tough Times will equip you to respond to life’s difficulties in the power and wisdom of God.

Being God’s Man…in Leading a Family

More than ever, families are desperate for spiritual leadership. And that starts with you, the husband and father. Are you equipped and ready to assume the role and responsibility God has for you? Being God’s Man…in Leading a Family will help you accept your calling and experience God’s blessing as a spiritual leader to your wife and children. In this study you’ll discover the six keys to true spiritual leadership in the home:

Deciding: Taking Ownership of your own spiritual journey

Demonstrating: Modeling a relationship with God

Displaying: God’s love in your relationship with your wife

Displaying: God’s love in your interaction with your children

Daily spiritual leadership through fostering spiritual connections in the home

Daily spiritual leadership through serving

Being Gods’ Man…in Leading a Family could revolutionize not only your own life, but also the lives of your wife and children – impacting generations to come.

Our calendars tell what is important to us. We make time for the things that matter. It is easy to find our schedules fuller than we want them to be. As the days fill with a variety of activities, make time for God by committing to worship and fellowship with the community of faith. We offer an early service each Sunday morning at 8:00 called Simple Service. This is in addition to our main worship celebration at 10:15 and is a great alternative when you have Sunday activities planned. You may come early to a 45 minute service and then get on with your day. The scripture says “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” May you find these days to be days of closeness to God as you make time for Him.
