On Easter Sunday April 8, we will joyfully celebrate the triumph of life over death as we enter into our Resurrection Celebrations at 9:00 and 10:30 AM.   These identical services will both include the full choir and praise band to lead us in joyful music.   My Easter message is called “Hearing is Seeing” and will help you to listen to the voice of Jesus who calls us each by name.

Please plan to be a part of these wonderful experiences and invite your friends to join you.   God will touch your life in a way that is real and personal.

In addition to his ministry at CCC Tyler also teaches music classes at Biola University.  Tyler and his wife Liz, and their daughter make their home in Buena Park.  They are enthusiastic about ministering in the community where they live.

You can meet Tyler any Sunday at CCC at the 10:15 celebration service.  Come say “hello” to the newest member of the CCC ministry team.

On Wednesday evening, February 22 we will gather for a time of reflection and intention at our Ash Wednesday service which will be held this year in the Fellowship Hall at 7:00 PM.   This service of sight, sound and touch will engage your senses to lead you deeper into your journey with Jesus.   The tradition of the ashes will also be offered to all who wish to receive this ancient sign of repentance.  Pastor Doug will lead this one hour service.

Purpose

The Worship Leader could also be called the “lead worshipper” who through gifts and character leads the congregation into the presence of God with praise and acts of worship, so as to inspire a grateful response to God’s amazing grace in Jesus Christ.  The Worship Leader of Christ Community Church will plan, develop and lead worship, along with the worship band and team, at the 10:15 Sunday celebration service.  The Worship Leader will also develop the talents and ministry of worship team members.

Qualifications

The Worship Leader will be committed to Jesus Christ and live a life of faith and integrity before Him.  S/he will be gifted in team leadership, able to work with musicians, pastor, and worship team.  The Worship Leader will be competent musically with demonstrated ability in vocal worship leading and proficiency in playing an instrument is also desired.  Knowledge and experience with sound systems, computers, and video projection would also be helpful.

Contractual Conditions

This is a paid part-time position (12-18 hours a week) Weekly responsibilities include planning and leading worship team rehearsal during the week and warm-up, sound check, and worship service on Sunday.  This position may be revised and expanded to maximize the gifts and passions of the one in it.
