The coming of a new year gives opportunity for us to make fresh starts and new beginnings in our lives. Yet, too often at the turning of the year the only thing that is new in our lives is a 2012 calendar. So much simply stays the same. Sometimes in the church we get caught in the “we’ve always done it this way” cycle as well. However, this new year there truly is something new coming to CCC. As you may have heard, we are launching Lifetree Cafe in February 2012. Lifetree is not a literal café but is a place and experience designed to help people connect with God in a cafe-like setting. The Lifetree cafe program was designed by Group Publishing and is now happening all over the country in churches and in business places.

Our Lifetree Cafe will need a team to be successful. In fact, several teams are a part of this ministry. Attendees will have an opportunity to become involved in Lifetree Cafe by finding a team that fits your gifts. Come to one of the Lifetree Cafe vision casting sessions being held on Wednesdays January 11, 18 or and 25 -AND- Sundays, January 15, 22, 29 to discover how you may become a part of something that is truly new. It is going to be a great new year!

About Lifetree Café

Lifetree Café is a comfortable place and time for people to gather weekly to explore life and faith. It looks and feels like the kind of place you’d typically meet a friend for food and drink and fun; where the atmosphere encourages conversations, questions, and personal stories. The hour-long Lifetree Café experiences feature real stories of real people, friendly conversation, time to build relationships with new and old friends, laughter, fun, spiritual insights, and opportunities to serve in the local community. Lifetree stories dig into the big and little stuff that shapes our lives. Family Friends. Fears. Busyness. Balance. Money. Materialism. Health. Heaven. Peace. Purpose. Lifetree Cafe is not just for “church people” but for anyone – believers, seekers, skeptics – i.e., anyone who wants to see how God has relevance to daily life.

Come Join the Conversation!

Community Men’s Fellowship

“Being God’s Man… Through Tough Times”:

Who’s got your back? When you stand with other men who share your goals you achieve them faster. To win the battles you face, as a man, it requires others.

David’s journey from shepherd to king was filled with dangers, delays and difficulties. And just like him, we live in a world filled with circumstances beyond our control. But hardships and losses are God’s tools for shaping us into His men.

Every man has a dream of who he wants to become, but getting there is a different story. Many men fail to realize their dreams because they choose comfort over character, image over substance, and escape over endurance. But a man who knows how to embrace hardship and learn to mine it for God’s purposes will see his godly dreams come true.

Being God’s Man… Through Tough Times will equip you to respond to life’s difficulties in the power and wisdom of God.

Being God’s Man…in Leading a Family

More than ever, families are desperate for spiritual leadership. And that starts with you, the husband and father. Are you equipped and ready to assume the role and responsibility God has for you? Being God’s Man…in Leading a Family will help you accept your calling and experience God’s blessing as a spiritual leader to your wife and children. In this study you’ll discover the six keys to true spiritual leadership in the home:

Deciding: Taking Ownership of your own spiritual journey

Demonstrating: Modeling a relationship with God

Displaying: God’s love in your relationship with your wife

Displaying: God’s love in your interaction with your children

Daily spiritual leadership through fostering spiritual connections in the home

Daily spiritual leadership through serving

Being Gods’ Man…in Leading a Family could revolutionize not only your own life, but also the lives of your wife and children – impacting generations to come.

Thursdays 7:00 – 8:30pm, FH, Being Gods’ Man…in Leading a Family. (Due to continued growth, we now meet every Thursday in the Fellowship Hall.)

Our calendars tell what is important to us. We make time for the things that matter. It is easy to find our schedules fuller than we want them to be. As the days fill with a variety of activities, make time for God by committing to worship and fellowship with the community of faith. We offer an early service each Sunday morning at 8:00 called Simple Service. This is in addition to our main worship celebration at 10:15 and is a great alternative when you have Sunday activities planned. You may come early to a 45 minute service and then get on with your day. The scripture says “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” May you find these days to be days of closeness to God as you make time for Him.
