Afghan Ministry

This knitting and crochet group meets the 2nd Saturday morning of the month at 10:00am in the Fellowship Center (check our church newsletter for changes).  If you enjoy this kind of crafting or have always wanted to learn to crochet or knit, but were afraid to learn or did not take the opportunity to learn, this is the group for you.  Several women who attend regularly are most willing to newcomers with a heart to learn.  Just bring your own crochet hook or knitting needles.  The yarn is provided.  We welcome all to join us over a cup of coffee and goodies as we enjoy fellowship together while we click away with our needles.

A baby afghan crocheted by one of the women in this group was recently given to the family of Jason and Susie Medeiros and their little girl, Jasmine, in the birth of Luke, a new baby boy who they welcomed into their family in August 2011.

Obviously, our work is beneficial, but our fellowship together is the best, and all are welcome to join us.
