Michael Lee

Michael Lee is the Worship Leader at Christ Community Church. He leads the worship team for the Sunday morning Celebration Service, conducts the seasonal choir, and arranges special musical events throughout the year.

Michael attended Azusa Pacific University, where he graduated with a degree in Music Theory. He also holds a Master’s degree in Theology from Biola University. He is currently pursuing a second Master’s degree in Commercial Music from Cal State Los Angeles. In fact, Michael likes school so much that he spends most of his time there – he is also a Professor at Azusa Pacific University, where he teaches courses on music technology, studio recording, and music ethics.

In addition to his ministry with Christ Community Church, Michael is an active professional musician. He plays piano and keyboards for several artists both live and on studio recordings, including Avalon, Melissa Etheridge, BeBe Winans, and David Foster.

Michael has been married to Gretchen Lee for 10 years, and they have two children, Sophia (age 4) and Josiah (age 2). When they have a free day, they can be found together at the LA Zoo, the Getty Center, or at Angels’ Stadium.
